Present simple statements/ negative statements:المضارع البسيط مع الجمل الخبرية والاستفهام

Use the present simple for:استعمال المضارع البسيط في الأغراض التالية

· Habits\ repeated actions. I walk to school every day.العادات والأفعال المتكررة

· Situations\ activates which are true for a long time. I live in Cairo.الأفعال والعادات المستديمة لفترات طويلة

· Facts that are always true. The sun shines in the day.الحقائق الثابتة العلمية في الطبيعة

Common errors:

I know what you mean.	I am knowing what you mean.	Some verbs are not usually used in the continuous from. Examples: believe \forget\hate\know\like\see\understand\want.

Present simple with frequency adverbs:المضارع البسيط مع بعض الظروف الدالة على التكرار

Use these adverbs to say how often something happens order of frequency:

· Frequency adverbs are usually before the verb:

I sometimes walk to school. \ I never drive into town.

· But we put them after the verb be:

I am never late for school. \She is always tired in the evenings

· Note that usually and sometimes can also start or end a sentence:

Usually I walk to school. \ I cycle to school sometimes.

Past simple tense statements\negative statements:الماضي البسيط مع الجمل الخبرية والإستفهام

I\You\We\They	Visited	Japan
He\She\It	Didn’t visit	Japan

W-h questions:

When	did	I\you\he\she\it\we\they	visit Japan?

Yes\No questions and short answers:

Use the past simple for:يستخدم الماضي البسيط في

· An action that started and finished in the past. He drove into town yesterday.

· Actions which follow each other in story. He got into his car and drove into town.

· Repeated actions in the past. He drove into town every day last week.
